Futures — 18 brokers
Futures are binding contracts to buy or sell an asset on a future date. Core instrument in prop trading; all reviewed prop firms operate on futures.
What are Futures?
A future is a binding contract to buy or sell an asset on a future date at a fixed price. Trading uses margin: you deposit a fraction of the contract value, creating leverage of typically 10 to 50 times. Underlying assets vary widely: equity indices (ES, NQ), commodities (CL crude oil, GC gold), currencies and crypto. All 28 prop firms reviewed by Daytraders.nl base their evaluations on futures. The CME Globex market trades nearly 24/5, offering flexible timing opportunities. Gains and losses are settled daily (mark-to-market). Warning: leverage amplifies losses just as quickly as profits.
