Cookies we do not use
Daytraders.nl sets none of the following cookies:
- Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or similar tracking cookies
- Advertising cookies (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, etc.)
- Social media cookies (Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn embeds)
- Cross-site tracking or fingerprinting
- Affiliate tracking cookies on our own site (tracking only occurs on the broker's or Amazon's own site once you land there)
What we do measure — and how
For anonymous visit statistics we use Umami Cloud. Umami is intentionally cookieless: it records page visits without persistent IDs, without storing raw IP addresses, and without device fingerprinting. The processed data is fully anonymised (page path, country code, browser type, referrer) and cannot be linked back to an individual.
Because this sets no cookies and processes no personal data within the meaning of GDPR, these statistics fall outside the scope of art. 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act (ePrivacy-NL). No banner is required for this. See /privacy for full GDPR information.
Website ID: d3cc60d6-6b5f-4696-a0d6-8e2876fa1662 (publicly visible in page source). Processor: Umami Software Inc. (umami.is).
Functional local storage
We use browser localStorage (not cookies) for functional preferences such as language choice or a dark/light-mode preference. This data stays in your browser and is never sent to our servers. LocalStorage is exempt under ePrivacy as "strictly necessary" for functionality you have requested.
Third parties (affiliate destinations)
When you click an affiliate link to a broker, prop firm, or Amazon, you arrive on their own site — which may set its own cookies. This is outside our control. Their cookie and privacy policies are available on their respective sites. A typical example: Amazon sets cookies to link your affiliate click to a later purchase; the consent prompt appears there, on their site.
Questions or objections
For complaints about the processing of personal data you can contact the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Authority). For written questions about cookies or privacy: see the colophon address in the footer.
