Who is this for?
The one-time price and 30 days of access suit traders who can execute their plan within a month. With no reset you buy again if you fail.
The EOD drawdown is calculated once per day. Mind the daily loss limit and the 50% consistency rule at payout.
An evaluation is a cost with no certainty of a payout. Also count the activation fee for the Performance Account and possible repeat attempts.
The rules are built for day trading. Check the current rules on overnight positions first.
Prop firm evaluations cost money and require risk-management experience. Practise on a demo account first.

100% of approved payouts on new (from 1 March 2026) Performance Accounts; no profit split. Legacy accounts (bought before 1 March 2026) were 100% of the first $25K, then 90/10; legacy products are no longer sold.
Payout policies
Based on the latest Apex pages we could verify (Wayback copies from March-May 2026), a new EOD Performance Account pays 100% of approved payouts. Conditions: at least 5 trading days that each reach the minimum daily profit ($100 on 25K, $250 on 50K, $300 on 100K, $350 on 150K), a 50% consistency rule since the last payout, at least $500 per request and a safety net (drawdown plus $100) your balance must always keep. A maximum of 6 payouts per account; after that the Performance Account closes. The cap per payout rises: on a 50K account, for example, from $1,500 (first) to $3,000 (sixth). Payouts are based on simulated results and, according to Apex, discretionary. We could not verify payout methods and processing time. See the Apex Help Center.
Scaling plan
The EOD Performance Account has a tiered scaling plan: your maximum position size and your daily loss limit grow with your end-of-day balance, up to the account maximum. Maximum contracts on an EOD Performance Account are 2 (25K), 4 (50K), 6 (100K) and 10 (150K). The evaluation has no scaling and a fixed position size (4, 6, 8 and 12 contracts). Apex does not mention scaling up to larger accounts in the new products. See the tier table in the Help Center.

EOD evaluation: drawdown $1,000/$2,000/$3,000/$4,000 (25K/50K/100K/150K), calculated once per day at market close, plus a daily loss limit ($500/$1,000/$1,500/$2,000) that pauses trading for the session. Intraday evaluation: same drawdown amounts, trails the peak balance in real time including unrealised gains, no daily loss limit.
Risk details
On an EOD evaluation Apex calculates the drawdown once per day at market close, based on your closing balance. The resulting threshold is fixed during the next session. If your balance touches the threshold at any time, all positions are liquidated and the evaluation fails; there is no reset. Example: $2,000 drawdown on 50K, with a $1,000 daily loss limit that pauses trading for the rest of the session. On an Intraday evaluation the threshold follows your peak balance in real time, including unrealised gains, with no daily loss limit. Your evaluation expires after 30 calendar days. On the Performance Account your balance must always stay above the safety net (drawdown plus $100). The risks: evaluation and activation costs, losing the account after a single breach and no certainty of a payout.

Frequently asked questions
What is the profit split at Apex?
For new Performance Accounts Apex states 100% of approved payouts, with no profit split. The old rule (100% of the first $25,000, then 90/10) belongs to legacy accounts from before 1 March 2026. A maximum of 6 payouts per Performance Account applies.
How fast are payouts?
You can request a payout after 5 qualifying trading days (minimum daily profit, for example $250 on a 50K account), so in principle weekly. We could not verify the processing time: see the Apex Help Center.
What platforms can I use?
The Apex help centre has guides for Rithmic (with NinjaTrader) and Tradovate. We could not verify whether other platforms such as TradingView are supported.
Is there a time limit?
Yes. An evaluation gives 30 calendar days of access from purchase. After that it expires, with no extension or reset.
What is the consistency rule?
On the Performance Account no single profitable day may be 50% or more of your total profit since the last approved payout. There is no consistency rule in the evaluation.
Can I trade the news?
We could not verify this for the new products. Read the current rules in the Apex Help Center before you buy.
What is the trailing drawdown?
On EOD accounts the drawdown is calculated once per day at market close (for example $2,000 on 50K) and a daily loss limit applies. On intraday accounts the drawdown follows your peak balance in real time, including unrealised gains, with no daily loss limit in the evaluation.
