  • Consistency rule in the evaluation (Launch 50%, Propel 34%) and in the Buffer Zone (34%)
  • The Orbit evaluation expires after 30 days and a reset does not extend it

  • All positions closed around the market close; weekly payout caps
  • Sim Funded accounts are simulated; moving to Live Brokerage happens after a review

Who is this for?

Traders who want to pass quickly

Orbit has no consistency rule in the evaluation and can be passed in one day. You do have 30 days and a reset does not extend that.

Traders on a limited budget

Launch has a low start through the monthly subscription, but a Launch fee follows when you pass, plus a Buffer Zone. Work out the total cost.

Traders who want to request payouts daily

Payout requests are possible Monday to Friday, within the cap per 7 days and the balance requirements.

Beginners

Prop firm evaluations cost money and the rules require risk-management experience. Practise on a demo account first.

Evaluation steps

  1. 1

    Choose your plan

Launch (monthly subscription plus a Launch fee when you pass), Propel (monthly subscription, no Launch fee) or Orbit (one-time, 30 days). Check the current price on blusky.pro.

  2. 2

    Phase 1: evaluation

Reach the profit target (for example $3,000 on 50K) without hitting the EOD trailing or static drawdown. Consistency: Launch 50%, Propel 34%. Orbit has no consistency rule in the evaluation.

  3. 3

Phase 2: Buffer Zone (Launch and Propel)

A gentler phase with a smaller profit target, no daily loss limit and 34% consistency. If you fail you only reset the Buffer Zone. On Launch you pay the Launch fee within 14 days of passing.

  4. 4

    Phase 3: Sim Funded

A simulated account whose profits can be withdrawn. There is no profit target. Payouts are possible Monday-Friday, with a maximum per 7 days.

  5. 5

    Review for Live Brokerage

At $10,000 total profit you request a review. From 1 October 2026 a new Live account starts at $0 and you choose between going Live or a one-time buyout.

All payouts 90% trader / 10% BluSky at all times unless changed by a Risk Team Review. Instant Funding plans differ: Direct to Funded 50% for 30 trading days then 80%; Instant Sim Funded 80%.

Payout policies

BluSky states a 90% profit split on payouts (10% to BluSky), unless a Risk Team Review changes it. You can request from Monday to Friday; a request before 11 AM ET is processed the same trading day and the transfer takes 1-3 business days. Your balance must be above the starting balance, with at least $500 per request ($250 on Propel) and one meaningful winning day between requests. There is a cap per 7 days, for example $2,500 on a 50K Launch or Propel Sim Funded account and $2,000 on a 50K Orbit. Orbit requires 40% consistency and allows requests every 3 trading days. Payouts go through Gusto or Rise; claim a request within 30 days or it is forfeited. Outside the US you submit a W-8BEN. The account is simulated; payouts are not guaranteed.

Scaling plan

On Sim Funded and Live Brokerage accounts your contract limit can grow (see the scaling article in the BluSky help centre). Orbit Sim Funded has smaller contract limits than the evaluation (for example 2 minis on 50K versus 5 minis in the evaluation). From 1 October 2026 a new Live account starts at $0; your Sim Funded profits then go into a Bonus Vault. Details and current tables are in the help centre.

Evaluation: EOD trailing minimum balance (50K: $2,000, 100K: $2,500, Orbit 100K $3,000, 150K $4,500) or static (Propel 150K $1,000, 200K $2,000, 300K $5,000). No daily loss limit in the evaluation. Orbit Sim Funded drawdown trails closed daily profit and locks at the starting balance once earned back.

Risk details

In the evaluation you fail in one way: your balance touches the drawdown threshold. On most plans this is an EOD trailing minimum balance (for example $2,000 on 50K) that rises with your highest closing balance and never falls. Some plans (Propel 150K-300K and 200K) have a static drawdown. There is no daily loss limit in the evaluation. Using too many contracts does not fail the account, but BluSky may liquidate, restart or refuse Live access if you get around the limit. Close all positions before 4:45 PM ET: the system tries to liquidate around the close, but that is not guaranteed, and positions after 5 PM ET are not corrected. Instant Funding has stricter rules, such as an intraday drawdown and 21% consistency.

And Tradovate, with NinjaTrader Prop, Tradovate Prop, TradingView, Jigsaw and Bookmap. You trade CME futures. The help centre has separate guides per platform and a guide for copy trading across multiple accounts.

How fast are payouts?

You can request a payout Monday to Friday. A request before 11 AM ET is processed the same trading day; the transfer then takes 1-3 business days. On Orbit you can request every 3 trading days, with 40% consistency.
